Cardboard fest

A cardboard playground for building, inventing, and imagining big.

Cardboard Fest is a hands-on building playground where imagination and construction collide. Participants are invited to design, invent, construct, and deconstruct using reclaimed cardboard and simple tools — creating structures, sculptures, creatures, and contraptions that transform the space.

This open-ended making experience encourages teamwork, experimentation, and play. Whether participants build solo or collaboratively, every creation celebrates curiosity, problem-solving, and the joy of bringing ideas to life.

    • Reclaimed cardboard and recycled building materials

    • Tools for cutting, joining, and shaping (safely supervised)

    • Guidance and facilitation from Make Lab

    • Optional themes or prompts (e.g., “mini cities,” “machines,” “imaginary habitats”)

  • Designed for makers of all ages—families, kids, and community groups—Cardboard Fest encourages collaboration, experimentation, and large-scale creative exploration.

    • Pop-Up (2–4 hours)
Open studio–style event where participants freely build and experiment.

    • Workshop (1.5–2 hours)
